A half decent traditional high street pub with a friendly atmosphere. The main bar is [-shaped, and had a small open fire at one end and a large woodburner the other. There are TV screens at both ends and there are a few gaming machines. The dining room looks like it was probably once a skittle alley. The toilets are reached via a tiny stone paved courtyard at the rear which also houses a covered smoking area. Food is basic pub grub at a reasonable price, freshly cooked so takes a while to arrive. The pub is popular with Chipping Sodbury’s octogenarians, but it feels like it would make a good local come the evening. Three handpumps on the bar – Tribute and Bass were both in good condition, the third offering was stan’s Cider. On keg were Korev, Thatcher’s Gold and Rattler, Moretti, Cruzcampo, Amstel, Foster’s, Guinness and Blackthorn Dry. I’d be happy to come back and have a few pints here.

Large single bar pub with seperate dining area. Although the emphasis is on food(which looked very good and substantial)they sell 3 real ales, two of which were from the Great Western Brewery Bristol. Both were in excellent condition especially "Classic Gold"
