A large town pub in a residential area, built in an Edwardian style on a large corner plot next to a main route through the town. There is limited parking on the site and a small garden at the back. You enter on the apex of a crescent-shaped long bar formed from to earlier rooms. This main bar has parquet flooring and open fires at both ends. To the left is a smaller carpeted games room, about half the size of the main bar, containing a pool table, dart board and several gaming machines. The customers were mainly younger locals, and it was quite lively. Three hand[umps on the bar, one dry, the other two pouring St Austell Anthem and Butcombe Original, both at very reasonable prices and in good condition. Also on keg were Fosters, Carlsberg, San Miguel, Guinness, John Smiths and two from Thatchers. OK if passing through but I'm not sure I'd make an effort to come back.
