Set back from the road and with a facade of wood and frosted glass, the outward potential seems promising, but inside it's a sea of wood, with part-wood, part-flagstone floor and a central island bar. Despite the presence of two pump handles, no real ale was available and a half of Guinness Extra Cold came in at a ridiculously expensive £2.20.
