A GK pub in the residential area of Little Sandhurst, about 20 mins uphill from the station. L-shaped inside with two separate rooms. We entered to a basic but tidy public bar with pool table, TV and jukey. A quick peek at the lounge showed a wood panelled eatery. Worth mentioning the decent rear garden with plenty of flora. Four pumps with three ales – Morlands, a house beer of unknown provenance and a good Abbot. Addlestones cloudy cider also available. Desmond highly rated the lemonade too. Excellent barmaid serving, friendly and engaging. Quizzer wanted to pay, we left £5 richer. Fairly busy for a Friday afternoon and not hard to see why – a really good little village pub and the best GK outlet I’ve been in for some time. 7.5 - a more exciting ale would have given it an 8.

Nothing special, but a perfectly reasonable village local...
