Easily missed as you walk up the Oxford Road is this pub. Small inside with TVs showing Sky Sports News. Music playing at a decent level on my Monday morning visit with a few regulars. No ale on offer here just lager. I had an Amstel at £3.95 which I thought was a good price. Not a bad little pub, although I can imagine on an evening or weekends it would be difficult to get a seat.

Nothing changes. Which is how the regulars like it. Says 'ales' on the exterior sign but that's a lie.

March 2011
Little Irish pub on the Oxford Road by Reading West station. Surprisingly modern both inside and outside - inside looks like it came out of the Wetherspoons interior refurbishment catalogue. No real ale.

Used to be a very lively little Irish boozer, no ale but the Guinness was cheap.It seems to have lost the atmosphere and vitality now that it once had.

Pretty cool pub, seems small from outside but not an issue, no real ale but reasonable lagers. There is a dartsboard and they seem to mostly show football from SkySports here, pretty empty which helps getting a drink.
