You’d expect a Fuller’s-branded pub to have plenty of beer and when we went in yesterday there were indeed six pumps…all badged with Pride clips! As we were ordering I realised the hourly train was less than five minutes away so we necked our (not very good) Prides and headed off. Interior has a high ceiling and seemed populated by a number of local characters. Even in our five minute stay it managed to tick a couple of negative 'station pub' stereotypes and I wouldn't put it down for a return visit given that the Downgate is only a few minutes walk up the hill.
