Saturday November 2014 Party of 9 Pre-booked. This is a lovely country pub right on the A49 as you pass through Cotebrook. Good sized car park and a very warm welcome on entering. We were guided to our reserved table and a drinks order was taken. After perusing the menus we placed the order with the waitress and they brought out some complementary homemade bread with dips whilst we waited for the food to be cooked. Menu was typical of pubs in the area with some dishes cheaper than the competition and others that were a little more expensive. Grills seem to be served on a large chopping board and fish and chips in a mock vegetable box whilst other dishes did actually receive a plate. The food was very good in general but one person did return the lasagna because it had been served tepid. This was very quickly rectified. Deserts were all £4.95 each and very tasty.
Would certainly use again when back in the area and a pleasant night was had by all.
