Bucking Fastard left this review about The Tollemache Arms
A large Robinson's road house with a lot of brewers tudor and a significant car park, the inside is as unappealing as the exterior. There are seperate sections and although this feels like a diners pub,a lot of local regulars gather around the bar to drink and chat.To the right there is a section with some comfy chairs ,lounge like while up some steps to the left is a large pool room.Past the bar furniture is sparse, with a few high tables and then a seperate and small dining area around the back.
The bar supports 4 handpumps offering on my trip Dizzy Blonde,Unicorn,Wizard (coming soon) and Cascade IPA (sweet malty brew, never an IPA) with no sign of any guest ales.
It's rather souless but the locals try to generate some atmosphere ,the muzak was non descript but at least there were no flatscreens. No need to hurry back.
