A good traditional pub on the Trafalgar Route. The fairly plain main bar has a stone floor with a pool table and darts, then a carpeted area at the front. Down a few steps is a dining area with neat dark wood tables. Outside there is a beer garden and a large car park with a grassed area beyond. St Austell ales with Tribute, Proper Job, Cornish Best and HSD on draught and in good condition.

Called n this pub on Saturday while on a CAMRA coach trip of old A30 pubs and found this to be a friendly 2 bar village pub. There is a wide screen TV and pool table, and another quiet lounge area that excludes children and has dining facilities, or can be used as a function room. We enjoyed the St Austell HSD and Cornish best, but the highlight for us was the tap serving the Mena Dhu stout. There was a christening party there when we arrived so it was pretty full, but there are two tiers of seating available outside, one of which had massive jenga blocks.
