A fair few steep steps up off the main drag so no tourists here bar me. Nice atmosphere, well-worth the puff. Compact, traditional and unpretentious place with a separate pool room to rear in a sunken area. Trigger's yellow paint over every wall is a mis-step, felt a bit claustrophobic. Four cask offered and my choice of St Ives Hella was bang-on (NBSS 4) befitting its Good Beer Guide inclusion. 7.5

The Oddfellows can be found up the rather steep Quay Hill, which eventually narrows to just a set of steps just before you reach the pub. It is a small, traditional pub with a front bar and a rear room containing a pool table.
Whilst this is a locals' pub, we received a fairly warm welcome and our attempt at buying a pack of Frazzles with our drinks was met with a sales pitch to buy 3 for a £1, an offer which we took up. Sharp's Atlantic & Special are the regular ales. Guests were Sharp's Sea Fury & St Austell Hicks.
With few spare seats, we sat on a tiny table next to the door when we arrived. However, a couple of guys soon vacated a larger table. They seemed like CAMRA types and were extolling the virtues of some of the other town pubs and giving them a copy of the "Falmouth Beer & Cider Trails" leaflet in an attempt to get them to visit a few other pubs. In the absence of any local CAMRA magazine, I picked up a copy myself before we continued onwards, also seeking to visit as many hostelries as possible!

Excellent little locals' pub on the side of the hill close to the town. One cosy bar, with a pool room behind. No frills and few tourists. Beers on offer were Atlantic, Sharps Special and Lushingtons and very well-kept too.

The Oddfellows Arms is situated up a short steep hill from Arwenack Street.
Once inside the bar faces in a smallish oblong shaped room which is bare boarded, there is bench seating and chairs and one normal table and chairs, there is a darts board to the front right.
There is a separate pool room down steps to the rear left.
There were three real ales on the bar,we had a drink of Sharps Own,which went down well, the other real ales were Sharps Special and Skinners Porthleven.
This is very much a locals pub, that was very busy on our late Sunday afternoon visit.

This is one of the Good Beer Guide pubs for Falmouth and is a friendly free house a short walk up some steps from the main street that runs along the front. They had 2 Sharps beers and 1 Skinners. Both the ales we had - Sharps Special and Skinners Figgy's Brew were in good condition. Looked a pub for the locals rather than the tourist trade.
