Blue Scrumpy left this review about Cross Keys Inn

The only pub in Eastgate, the Cross Keys is located at the centre of what was quite a lively village for our late Saturday afternoon visit. The pub was busy due to some kind of sheep show taking place opposite.

Most of the pub is carpeted. The bar is to the front with horse brasses on them and with pots and pans hanging from the ceiling and beams. There are some pictures of impressively large sheep on the walls. The lounge is off to the left-hand side of the bar and it has a TV. Menus could be found on each table but we didn't witness anybody eating. Both dogs and children are allowed.

Despite being in the current Good Beer Guide, the pub now has just the one handpull, which was clipped with a Sharp's beer. I seem to recall this being Coaster. The cider was Aspall's.

This pub will always receive a fair amount of passing trade but how it features in the Good Beer Guide is beyond me.
