Strongers . left this review about The Near Boot Inn
The Near Boot is a roadside pub with a large car park at the rear that gives the game away that this is a food led venue, the burger is priced at £16. Between the car park and the pub is a large well-tended lawn that is strewn with vibrant blue, yellow and pink painted picnic tables. Much like the garden, the inside of the pub is clean and tidy, and the barmaid was very friendly. There’s a central island bar with counters that serve towards the right and rear, and there’s also a small counter that faces the entrance, but no draught pumps/taps here so it may just be for glass collection. The seating around the bar is on a mix of carpet and laminate and the front right area is sunken with a tiled floor. During a quiet Monday afternoon visit premium keg was available alongside Fosters and two of the three hand pumps were in use drawing Wainwright Gold and Theakston’s XB. This place is a bit out of the way to revisit just for a beer, but I’d drive over to try the food next time I’m in the area.
