Previously The Suffolk Arms, now still empty and falling into a state of terminal disrepair.

Sited at the top end of Commercial Road, the frontage is lost somewhere between Argos & McDonald's
On entering, the bar is one long inverted L, some tables to right and left, inverted L shaped bar to left
Bit dim inside, with little natural light due to building limitations
Serves food, but not tried it
Only beers were keg stuff, no "real ales"
Given it's reputation as a gay bar this may not be surprising
Will be demolished once the Northern Quarter redevelopment scheme gets under way
All a pity, once was a lovely & popular venue, now just a shadow of what it once was
RIP

Martha's is situated at the northern end of the shopping area and most of the shops around it were either up for let or boarded up.
Once inside the pub there was a long narrow room that was more like a lounge, the pub had a large Bass sign outside and there were beers from Bass on the bar but all of these were keg beers so we had a drink of Guinness which went down quite well.
This was not one of our favourite Portsmouth pubs.
