Community owned pub well-off the beaten track though is signposted from the main road. This a low wonky-beamed and wonky ceilinged kind of place, with aged pub carpet, exposed stone walls and brasses - the classic country pub ambience. No screens or machines, though a ‘singing night’ was advertised. Three pumps with two on; Dartmoor Legend (fine) and Teignworthy Neap Tide. One let-down was the pervasive cold, not helped by a side door being kept open. Overheard that the regular licensee was on holiday, so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt on that score.
