Interesting conversion of old railway station, incorporating part of platform area and featuring much railway memorabilia including a carriage and wagons. Not well signed as a pub from the road and has a homely, slightly run-down feel, but popular with walkers and cyclists on the Tarka Trail (cycle hire adjacent). Local ales and food on offer. A bit of attention to detail and effective marketing could make this an exceptional pub, but would lose some of its character. Mind the parrot!
