A tidy local the other side of the railway. A bit modern on the decor for me (light neutral colour, bulbs on a string) though the mounted old metal implements were a bit different ("hand looms, spinning wheels, bobbins and shuttles from Linton Tweeds which would have been used in the nearby mills, along with archive photos of the industry are to be found throughout the pub" says WhatPub). Bit of fun with a Play Your Cards Right pub quiz round and a shouted answer to the question of what sort of animal was Roland Rat’s friend Kevin – “a peado!!” which got a roar. GBG listed with two local beers on and my Tatton's Pennine Mild was super good (NBSS 4.5) which made the visit well-worthwhile. 7.5
