A village pub which serves its locals well and offers cheap B&B. There is a small car which can be tight when busy. There is a garden next to the car park with tables and benches for smokers and al fresco diners. Inside there is a large bar and a separate restaurant. Decor is quite fresh, but this has removed much of its rural character. Food is low quality, high price - cheap ingredients over-cooked, tasteless chips in wire baskets. The presence of bottles of ketchup on the tables is an indicator. The landlord was quite friendly, but it was hard to tell whether his identity crisis leant towards retired soldier or failed biker. Dogs are allowed in, and there are a pool table, two dartboards and a gaming machine. Two ales on draft, Palmer's Gold and St Austell Trelawny, neither well kept. Not sure I'd make the effort when there are better pubs nearby.
