E TA left this review about The Broadway Tavern
A busy, buzzing town pub currently owned by GK, built around the 1930s. There is a small car park at the back and a seating area at the front with a fine view of the passing traffic. The main bars have been knocked through to form a single large bar with a raised seating area at one end. There is a pool table and dartboard, plus several TV screens, though the latter were switched off; conversation and social interaction made them redundant. The staff were friendly, while the customers were a good cross-section, a mix of the after-work crowd, locals and random passers-by. Two ales on, GK IPA and Abbot, both in reasonable condition. It's not a destination of choice, but it's a decent enough place for a pint or two if you happen to be in the area.
