Strongers . left this review about The Piltdown Man

The well-tended outside seating area down the side of the Piltdown Man made it look very inviting on approach from the car park late on a recent late Saturday afternoon. The entrance opens onto a laminate floored bar area with a small serving counter that supports premium keg and two hand pumps that were both badged with Harvey’s Best. To the left is a raised laminate floored dining area with fairy lights overhead. Up the right is a flagstone floored lounge-cum-dining area with green wainscotting and white painted walls as well as a couple of fireplaces, one with a burner and the other a log fire. There was some low background music playing, but no other distractions. The rural location means that this pub has gone firmly down the food route and is barely a pub anymore.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Piltdown Man

Much extended gastro-pub on the A272, with a mostly opened-out L-shaped interior with a light semi-modern look. The bar area opposite the main side entrance has very little furniture, although there is a small general seating area on the corner. The lounge area beyond that is obviously intended for informal dining, and there is a more upmarket restaurant area on the left-hand side. Just the obligatory Harvey's (£5.50) available from the pair of handpumps.
