Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Treacle Mine

Sizeable Whitbread pub / restaurant beside a Premier Inn in the A27 Polegate Services. Usual mix of seating and dining areas in an overall L shape, but subdivided with a few pillars and screens so it doesn't feel too cavernous. Expected anonymous semi-modern furniture and decor throughout, but there are some patio tables at the front and a beer garden tucked away on the right-hand side. Just Doom Bar (£4.50) available from a total of five handpumps.

Strongers . left this review about Treacle Mine

The Treacle Mine is a Table Table pub that is run by the Premier Inn that is located next door. Situated in Polegate Services it is hardly an ideal location to include on a crawl of the area, but it was very busy during my visit on Thursday evening a couple of weeks ago. The crowd consisted of work Christmas parties and families that were taking advantage of the dining facilities where a main meal can be purchased for around the £7 mark. The bar is stocked with standard draught products from which I had a decent pint of Guinness that was served by a friendly barmaid. Spitfire was available from the two hand pumps, but the Costa Coffee machine behind the bar seemed more popular with the patrons. Being a food led pub the majority of this building is used for diners, but there is a comfortable section to the left of the bar that has more of a pub feel. There is a plasma screen up on the wall that was showing a muted BBC 2 documentary and some generic background music was playing.

There is ample parking and some picnic tables can be found outside, some of which are covered.

As a hotel pub this place does its job well, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit here.
