Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Roebuck Inn

Village inn given something of a gastro-pub makeover in terms of furniture and decoration (with an odd shiny metallic facing to the bar counter), but still quite traditional in other ways. There is also a dining room off to the right, but when I visited all the action was out back where the Roebuck Rodeo show (with live music) has happening. With three of the four handpumps in use, I found Dark Star's APA, Gun Scaramanga (£5.20) and... of course... Harvey's.

Strongers . left this review about The Roebuck Inn

The Roebuck Inn is a village pub found in an old 17th century coaching inn in Laughton, which is a way from anywhere so is quite food led. Unsurprisingly there’s plenty of parking which is found out front and in an overspill up the left. Out the back of the pub is a large picnic table strewn grass covered beer garden. Through the central front entrance is a bare boarded bar with a central U-shaped copper paneled wooden topped serving counter that comes out of the rear wall. There are tables in the front windows either side of the entrance and also up the left and right walls. At the rear is a sunken snug with exposed brick walls and fireplace. Another fireplace can be found on the right-hand wall where a curtain covered doorway leads to a large function / dining room. I stuck my head through to see that all the tables were set for dining. There was some background music playing, but no other distractions were spotted, well apart from the gargoyle urinals which are very bizarre. Unfortunately only one of the four hand pumps was in use, drawing Harvey’s Best. Premium keg was also available. The food looked really good and we plan to revisit to try it, but I wouldn’t go here just for a beer again.
