Will Larter left this review about The Hollow Bottom
The second pub in the village, and a bit of a walk from the centre. It is a low building and seeming lower as being situated in a dip in the road. There's a large fireplace featuring a solid fuel stove and the internal appearance suggests some serious money has been spent making it look good. It was fairly quiet - apart from the background music, of course - when I was here just before 6pm on a Friday, but perhaps it warms up later. This seems to be a food-led place, so perhaps it only gets busy around meal times. There were four hand pumps, though, which suggests a certain amount of drinking goes on. My half of Goffs Cheltenham Gold was OK (NBSS 3 was possibly a bit generous in retrospect) but not as good as this beer can be, as I found out in another pub two months later, where it was £1/pint cheaper.
