The Hatherley has recently undergone a major refurbishment, and very nice it is too. The interior is a mixture of bare brick, and painted walls with a collection of vintage black and white photos. The furnishings are modern but with a cosy feel. The pub was fairly busy on my fleeting visit, with customers happily chatting away, the bar staff were friendly and polite. There are four handpumps, with three in operation Greene King IPA, Yardbird and Abbot Ale. There is a 10% discount for CAMRA members. Well worth a visit.

The Hatherley Inn as it used to be known, bares little resemblence to the much altered and recently extended pub that exists today. The Hatherely has in recent years been renowned for Sunday lunches and is a favourite amongst Senior Citizens - indeed I myself have enjoyed many pleasent Sunday afternoons there with members of my family. The Hatherley has undergone a recent refurbishment, extending the dining area but retaining existing areas, like the dining area by the front windows. The beer garden has also undergone a refurbishment, with more of a patio now. Wheelchair access can be gained through the gate into the beer garden, which is just off the car park. Only one draw back - the pub sign has been replaced with a rather bland billboard type thing. The photo of the pub sign was taken in 2011.
