The Elizabethan is a large JW Lees pub set back from the road by a very big patio full of picnic tables and a bit of greenery. Inside is a central L-shaped serving counter that faces seating across the front that runs from the entrance to a fireplace on the right-hand wall. To the left of the entrance is a strip of seating along a green tiled left-hand wall which supports a raised exposed brick fireplace the houses a flame effect burner. High tables are located behind the bar towards the rear. The seven hand pumps across the counters were drawing JW Lees Bitter and MPA, so I went for a decent pint of MPA which was served by the polite barman. This is a big statement pub that I imagine comes into its own on a nice summer afternoon rather than a dreary February evening.

A very large Lees pub that majors on dining. Inside are several areas all separated by glass partitions. Outside is a massive beer patio which can probably seat about 100 people. This is a massive draw in the Summer when it is a real suntrap. 6 handpumps on the bar but only 2 beers available Lees Bitter & MPA. The MPA was in decent nick and at £2.90 per pint a bit expensive for Less, but still cheap for around here. The whols place is a bit nondescript and despite the old brick exterior the inside looks like a new build. A pleasnt enouth place for a beer though.
