The Flying Horse is located mid terrace down a residential street so this is very much a local’s pub. An L-shaped bar in the center of the pub serves several seating areas around the bar, including one with a nice fireplace. There is a standard and premium keg selection, but the two handpumps were unused. To the left of the entrance is a dartboard and televisions are located throughout for airing live football. There is a jukebox for use when the football is not on. The service was polite, even though my visit was late doors and there was only one other customer. I would use this pub if I lived locally.

The Flying Horse is a smallish looking pub that is on a narrow street in an old part of higher blackley.
There were a couple of rooms in this pub i went in a fairly basic bar but this was comfortable enough, this pub used to be a Boddingtons tied house and on my visit there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Boddingtons mild and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Boddingtons bitter.
I thought this was quite a nice pub and i think it is still open.
