Graham Coombs left this review about The Kings Head
A rather nice old ivy-covered building in the centre of the village, the range of stickers from various guides covering the front entrance is a good indication of the type of establishment and it is indeed a slightly upmarket, food-led small hotel. The aged building has been completely and tastefully refurbished but retains some nice original features. The bar itself is rather open plan, avoiding the usual clutter of beer taps and other paraphernalia but with a set of handpumps offering Ringwood Razorback, Palmer's IPA and Doom Bar. To one side behind glass windows is a proper restaurant, while down a couple of steps is a 'snug' room with bare brick walls and half a dozen farmhouse-type tables mainly used for dining. A sign advertises a skittle alley and function room. All in all, posher than your average pub but still with a nice drop of beer on offer.
