Mid-sized standard O’Neills (formerly a Firkin pub) over two levels inside, a tiled floor on lower with the usual fittings. Papers available, obviously expecting a higher class of punter than is usual for the chain. Four pumps on the right-hand side bar with three on: GK IPA, Doom Bar and Ringwood 49er (a musty tasting example, cask breather?). Crawl fodder only.

Well, it's an O'Neills pub, so you get what you expect.
On Friday and Saturday nights, becomes a popular nightspot, given the slight lack of alternatives in Winchester. Has occasional live music sessions I believe.

At the top of a steep climb, on a busy corner it is not the easiest of places to access. Inside it is on two levels with the bar being on its lowest. No Real ale but plenty of Irish keg and lager. Standard O'Neills menu. Access to the upper floors by wheelchair is by a lift which refused to work on our visit. The seating was on benches around a table higher than floor level. Not the best for the disabled, lack of fore thought by the designers.
