Update March 2010 - At last had a night out here, Friday night, and very pleasant it was, one of Denmead's hidden gems
Has two bars, one, the sort of Saloon, is mainly for dining, has some bar stools and a couchy / coffee table area to sit whilst browsing the menu. All clean, tidy and pleasant.
The "Public" is called Real Ale & wine bar, and was heaving on our visit, appeared to serve same ale as saloon area
The greeting, and subsequent service, was warm & friendly, 10 out of 10 for that
4 hand pulls, seems to favour Ringwood brewery, but no problems with that, I chose Old Thumper, again, but it was a lovely pint [well three if truth be told]
Food, very wide choice and variety, ranges from £2 to £18, including vegetarian options and daily "specials", so if you cannot find something to eat here you really must be picky, I had home made Steak & Guinness pie at £7.95, it was excellent and very good value
Verdict? Do seek it out if in the area

Jan 2008 - Popped in at lunchtime as I was taking photos, had half of Ringwood Old Thumper [driving], very tasty
Has wide selection of beer & lager, plus the menu seems to be tasty but not tried it
