E TA left this review about The Two Brothers
A large Sizzling Pub outlet serving a big housing estate in Southampton’s suburbia. It has many of the signature Sizzling qualities including the smell of stale chip fat, ghastly pop music, feral toddlers running unsupervised and garish gaming machines for young and old. It has, of course, no real ale or cider, not even craft beer, just the keg list of Madri, Thatcher’s Gold, Carlsberg, Guinness, Coors, Carling John Smith’s, Stella, San Miguel and Peroni. It has a sizeable garden at the front full of tables and benches. The single shed-like bar is informally divided by low walls and furniture, so there is a degree of privacy. A TV screen was showing live football. The locals did seem like a reasonable bunch, however, and the bar staff were genuinely kind and helpful despite the swearing, but you can’t polish a turd so, like every other Sizzling pub, it’s not somewhere I’d rush to revisit.
