E TA left this review about Millers Pond

A rather unusual pub, it looks like an ordinary Victorian corner pub from the uphill side, though the windows are blacked out and you could be forgiven for thinking it was closed. From the downhill side you see a large, steep garden with a pond at the bottom, outside seating area at the top in front of a lively village local. Inside, the single large bar has two distinct sides – to the left a real ale bar, to the right something that looks like and ordinary town pub. They are a Wadworth house, so the left hand bar has 6X, Henry’s and Horizon as its regular beers, plus guests: Thunderstruck, Skylark Stout, Bristol Beer Factory’s Clear Head and Evolution Session IPA. There were also two boxed ciders from Lilley’s. This bar had, strangely, bar stools with cycle pedals. The right hand bar had Coors, Praha, Asahi, Stella, Guinness, Peroni, Hawkstone Lager, a German helles and three from Thatcher’s. There was a dartboard, jukebox and multiple TV screens; TV could be watched from any point in the pub. Food was available including Pieminister pies, fresh pizzas and Sunday roasts (on Sunday, of course). This pub really did seem to have something for everyone and I’d be very happy to come back next time I’m in the area.
