Picturesque pub that sadly is basically a restaurant with a small bar and a single table for drinkers. Low ceiling and the usual faux-rustic wotnottery within. The mounted shields above the bar were the main point of interest. Rear garden. Two ales, Doom Bar and a fairly awful Pride (‘hunt the aspirator’) although marginally cheaper than expected at £3.75. Very professional staff, drilled like a regiment. Basically, this is no longer a pub and my score reflects this.

Nice looking country pub, has always in my memory, been strongly food led and such is the case nowadays, there is room for drinking purposes though with some tables to the front of the pub as well as bar stools along the length of the bar. Ale wise it is bland National stuff, three pumps serving the likes of Doom Bar ,London Pride and Courage Best, not a place I would aim for,for a drink, no Idea what the food is like but it did used to be very good back in the 80's, there's been a few changes of management since then.
