A fairly ordinary roadside pub with a corporate feel to it. It’ still owned by Shepherd Neame, the layout as described by Moby, below. The garden is at the side and includes a children’s play area. There is limited parking at the front. There were several families with well-behaved children, and some of the locals were quite friendly towards us. Ales on were TEA from Hog’s Back and Bishop’s Finger, both in good condition. There were 4 dry pumps, plus a megakeg selection of Amstel, plus Spitfire lager. Not a destination in its own right, but it was a good enough pit stop and I’d be happy to come back in if passing.

I did use this pub for a while 14 years ago through convenience, while briefly living in Cove, Its a Shepherd Neame pub offering three of their beers, back then I thought it leant toward the food side of things,I suppose what you would call a family pub, nowadays it seemed to me on a recent revisit its all about food,Lager and Karaoke despite the presence of ale. There are two adjoining rooms as well as a restaurant area, the L shaped servery caters for both drinking areas. There are TVs for sport, dartboard and fruit machines, there is a beer garden for the nicer months. I wasn't over enamored back then and even less now,I don't expect to make any more visits.
