Update
Two years on and re-opened and refurbed as a pub/hotel/restaurant owned by Red Mist Leisure. Eight handpumps in total, four beers on, Hogs Back TEA, Tilford Rushmoor Ripper, Tilford Black Knight and Red Mist Ale now brewed by Tilford Brewery, formerly by Andwells I believe. More of a smart dining venue than pub but of course you can go there for a drink only. Not my kind of thing.
November 2016
Due to close on the 18th of December 2016, Hall and Woodhouse are transfering the building back to its owners, the Stratfield Saye Estate.

An iconic-looking building on a slight bend in the A33 named after Old Big Nose himself (it's actually situated in what was his estate). The bar is through to the left as you enter and occupies a small corner of what is large, high-ceilinged Georgian-esque room. The bar is darkly-wooded with some nice stained glass inserts above, and a couple of stuffed gamebirds sit atop the bar itself. Owned by Hall & Woodhouse, two of their charges were on the pumps - Bouncing Bounder and First Call and the young staff were friendly and professional. More of a place to take a meal in, but worth dropping to enjoy the interior whilst supping an ale.
