Over the road to the Kings and didn't look too enticing on approach, thought it might be a classic rough boozer. But in actuality it's a large and upmarket place (for Barrow) if a bit stark and bland, though the large windows overlooking the vita are impressive. Football was on in one room and there was a quieter dining area in the other. My Bowness Bay Blonde was A1 (NBSS 4.5) with Wainwright the other cask ale on. So worth making time for before the No.1 back into town; the stop is just outside.

Nice pub, food very well cooked and tasty, very reasonably priced too, staff excellent nothing is to much trouble. Recommended
