Now a Miller & Carter Steakhouse. Black shirted / bloused staff, overloud muzak and no real ale. A half of Mad Squirrel's Sumo keg offering was £2.70 for a half. You'd only visit here to eventually moan about in a review like I have, so save yourself the trouble.

I agree totally with the last reviewer, this is a restaurant with a bar. It is part of the Mitchells and Butlers Group.
The beer was OK, but not exceptional. The same applies for the food, it could have been warmer, but it was reasonably priced.
For the amount of waiting staff around, the service was surprisingly slow, but to be fair, we were a reasonably large party. (16)
Big question: Would we go back? Quite possibly, but only as a party of four - maximum.

In a very nice location by a river but unfortunately there is no real ale and the emphasis is very much on food with the inside being very clinical.
