Bucking Fastard left this review about The Woodman
A genuine free house with a tiny porch beyond the front door that could house four people,a left hand area with a dart board, real fire and circular tables and the bar to the right of the entrance.Beyond the bar is an area jokingly titled Gods Waiting Room with a few more tables and mature locals.Off the corridor to the loos there is a seperate back room with fitted bench seating. The interior is small, well used by locals and everyone is on first name terms so the pub's a hub,it doesnt take many people to be in to make it feel busy and there is no musak, fruit machines or other distractions.Visitors do stand out but are not discouraged and the landlord is polite.Pub grub is available but this is more of a drinkers pub and on my visit there was very well kept Cotswold Spring's Old Ale,Abbott Special Reserve,Church End Pooh Beer and Blindman's Blitzen all between £2.80 and £3.10 which I thought reasonable for the area.
Regularly changing selection of real ales and quite correctly featured in the GBG this is a good place for a quaff.
