Thwaites pub in an imposing corner building. Inside (via an internal fish pond!) is a large horseshoe shaped interior, this would have been a nice multi-roomer back in the day but it is pretty charmless now, save a small area round the far side of the bar which is carpeted and has a dart board along with some Fleetwood Town memorabilia. Loud music and pints of Stella and Smooth were the order of the day at the bar. As the three pumps had no cask, I joined the Smooth crew as there was nothing of the slightest interest in the fridge (the Smooth is a shocking drink, by the way). This is the nearest pub to my parent’s new place and it’s a shame that it isn’t better. I’ll stick to putting down some shoe leather into town if I want to get away for a pint in future.
