A decent freehouse with a very friendly and welcoming owner. The interior had two bay window seating areas either side of the main entrance. The bar which was finished in pine, looked original and was positioned in the far right hand corner. There was good space in front of the bar and a side room with a pool table. There was also exposed ceiling beams, which were painted white, and the walls were a cream colour.
The room in front of the bar was being prepped for a Beer Festival that weekend, so we timed this visit badly! Two handpumps serving two from Moorhouse's, the landlord told us that in the summer months he sticks to two cask ales and in the winter months he puts three on. He usually stocks local breweries such as Reedley Hallows and Bowland. The pub also serves food.
