Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Quay
The Quay can be found listed in the Good Beer Guide but it was quite frankly disappointing. The interior is modern and lacks character, whilst the solitary cask ale was Dark Star Hophead.
It seems that in the 13 years since the last reviews, the pub has closed and re-opened with a thorough refurbishment. You enter into a bar area, with a lounge off to the left and a dining room to the right. A wood burner separates the bar from the lounge. There are also some shelves with books and lots of modern-looking posters on the white walls. The lounge has a grey and white colour scheme.
On the bar, there was a second unclipped handpull. So, it seems that they may dispense a second ale at times. There are lots of pumpclips above the bar, also suggesting that they have a more varied selection at times. A plus point was a bag-in-the-box cider (Kentish Pip High Diver). The same cider was also available on keg and I also noticed Twisted Wheel Opus on keg.
Music was playing whilst we were there and live music was being advertised. A few well-heeled people arrived to check into the pub's accommodation and the car park is reserved for those stopping overnight.
Close to the town centre and surrounded by Shepherd Neame brewery buildings, it may make a decent place to stay and possibly eat. However for the drinker, there are much better options in town unless the real ale selection (or lack of it) was representative of the average visit.

E TA left this review about The Swan and Harlequin
Convenient for the Town Quay, The Swan and Harlequin is a pub with a troubled past which it has now put behind it to become a highly commendable business which does B&B, restaurant-style meals and real ales. It's in a former tobacco merchant's house, an interesting Georgian building with has been changed little in the last couple of Centuries. There are two front bars, a large outside seating area, and there is a selection of ales in casks which can be brought straight up from the cellar. There were 5 ales on when we visited, but they had run out of cider. Food was good enough, and the pint of Hophead Dark Star I had was in excellent condition. Well worth a visit, especially if coming into town by boat as it's just a few yards from the moorings. Definitely include in a crawl as it makes (as JAQPTIO indicates below) a nice change from S&N beers.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Swan and Harlequin
A bit of a rarity, being one of the few non-Shepherd Neame pubs in Faversham (despite being almost next to the brewery). No sign of real ale in the small front bar inside the main door, but handpumps for Master Brew and Directors can be found in the larger side room. Better still, it tuned that Tribute was also available direct from barrel in cellar (£3.00, in fine form, and served in the right glass). Sports TV. Patio seating out front. Rear courtyard under a very large umbrella. Gives the impression of being a bit of a locals pub, but the barmaid was friendly enough.
