Alan Winfield left this review about The Red Lion
The Red Lion is a smallish pub that is situated in the middle of Deddington on its nice looking market place.
Once inside there was an L shaped room with the bar facing, the floor was bare boarded and there was a low beamed ceiling, there was lots of different types of seating ranging from leather settees to normal tables and chairs, there was a smallish TV showing the Aston Villa v Chelsea game.
There were two real ales on the bar and unusually both from St Austell brewery,i had a drink of Trelawny which was a nice drink, the other beer was Tribute.
This is a proper locals pub that was quite busy with a mixed bunch in.
I quite liked this pub and could happily stay here for a good session.
