Another walk-out. It felt a bit rough-and-ready here and I question exactly how sober some of the staff were. After a glass (maybe unsurprisingly) went for a Burton behind the bar (which then meant everyone’s focus was loudly oi-oi-ing about the accident and making a meal of sorting it out rather than at least trying to acknowledge waiting customers) I decided I had seen enough and wrote it off.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Lord Burghley
A good solid locals pub with quite an interesting interior. The only way to describe it was 1940's, the sort of place Dad's Army might venture. This pub offers a lot in turn of Sports TV, live music, food and always a solid choice of five cask ales. Beer choice on our visit was Grainstore Ten Fifty and Coronation, Doombar, TT landlord and London Pride.

Multi room old looking place but with bits of walls cut through. There are six pulls with on this occasion, Timothy Taylor Landlord London Pride, Abbott, Doombar and two more unusual beers from Elgood and Grainstore. Poor local oriented service, no plastic cards taken, not a great atmosphere but solid working class middle aged clientele ignoring the football on telly.
