Busy village pub. There is a council-owned car park opposite. But spaces appear to be taken by residents as all of the surrounding streets are clogged up with cars.
On our Sunday afternoon visit, Six Nations rugby was showing in the bar area to the left-hand side of the entrance. Music was also playing, creating a bit of a din. The decor is grey with some exposed brickwork lending it a little character. The TV showing the rugby was above a fireplace, with fruit machines either side. There was also a wood burner on the side wall.
The room to the right is more of a lounge. It leads to a large dining room to the rear. Both dogs and children are welcome.
At the bar, the regular cask beers are all from Greene King - IPA, Abbot & Yardbird. The guest beer was Langton Inclined Plane. Pick of the keg beers was Greene King Level Head. Somehow it is in the Good Beer Guide. It was a bit too noisy for my liking. Either the rugby commentary or the music would have sufficed. Both was too much and why keep local CAMRA magazines hidden behind the bar? I much prefer the Duke's Arms, the other pub in the village.

Called in while on a coach trip round some pubs in Northamptonshire. Enjoyed Potbelly Piggin Saint beer. There were also beers from Hop Back and Greene King.
