The Craft Union Pub Company run Admiral consists of an L shaped bar area that adjoins a long seating area that leads to more seating opposite a stage. Beyond is a pool table and access to a beer garden where picnic tables sit upon plastic grass and covered seating can be found on a decked area. Plasma screens for airing Sky Sports and BT Sport are found throughout the interior. These were all muted in favour of some background music during my recent weekday afternoon visit. On the empty stage was an advertisement for an upcoming open mic acoustic night.
Standard keg products line the bar where there is also a solitary hand pump that was drawing Robinson’s Trooper. I found the service to be polite and the locals to be boisterous but friendly. To the right of the bar is a dartboard.
I would have no problem popping back in here for a pint or two.
