In the centre of Hessle is the Hase that had ten or so locals in attendance during my visit around 20:00 on Wednesday last week. Live sport is advertised, but the Liverpool derby was trumped by World Championship Snooker. I reasoned that this pub has BT Sport and not Sky Sports that was showing the football. The weekly quiz is held on Thursday evenings and there is a DJ booth with dance floor at the rear for late night weekends. The bar is on the right hand wall and some supporting columns split the pub up. At the front is some seating and a large inglenook can be found in the right hand wall. There is also a dartboard.
Standard keg products were present and only Otter ale was available from the two banks of three hand pumps. The kitchen was closed during my visit so I didn’t see any menus for pricing. However I did note the kitchen opening times as 17:00 - 19:00 Tuesday to Thursday, 12:00 to 18:00 Friday and Saturday and 12:00 to 17:00 on Sunday.
I found the service to be polite and the locals were harmless enough, as was a massive inquisitive dog. This isn’t a place I would go out of my way to revisit.

Friendly but slightly run-down locals' pub on busy road. Beers included Black Sheep and Copper Dragon on draught. Felt like it could get a good atmosphere, although quiet at time of visit. Not sure about the massive disco desk at rear though...

The hase is a great pub serving real ale and home cooked meals which are excellent ,disco and live bands on a weekend and bank holidays ,recenently tried the home food delivery service and must say i was sceptical about the quality delivery free within hessle, tried the roast beef dinner £3.95 and jam sponge with custard for £2.50 well i was in for a pleasant surprise, it arrived well wrapped in individual containers covered in foil to keep the heat in , once i transferred it to my plate it looked delicious and was. For the price paid it was as generous as most restaurant roast beef dinners,it consisted of roast beef ,yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes , new potatoes , carrots cauli broccoli and savoy cabbage and a pot of gravy wow
