This old shipstones pub has been renovated many times since it was built in the sixties and is like so many others a very generic opened out family eatery jack of all trades type affair.
The interior is as you would expect with sports TV,s piped music and big laminated food menus on all the tables. The bar had very sedate selection over the three hand pulls with Doombar, Speckled Hen, a pale ale from a micro I failed to note and once pump unused. The pale ale was a tad cloudy pub decent enough although very expensive at 3.85 for the surroundings. We sat outside in a small concrete fenced courtyard which was very dull considering the amount of space the pub has with its large car park. I wouldn't really bother with this place again when there is the Salutation at the other end of the village.

The Keyworth Tavern is a large estate type pub and once inside there wa a smart lounge and a large bar, this used to be a Shipstones tied house and when we went in here there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Shipstones bitter which was very nice the other beer was Shipstones mild.
