Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Roebuck Inn (JD Wetherspoon)
Converted from what was presumably two old buildings (given the pair of front doors), this 'spoons has an interesting facade. However, it has been almost totally modernised inside (but there are traces of the original layout which means that some of the seating areas still retain a bit of character). Small roof terrace for the smokers upstairs (NB - no view). Ten handpumps available, and - even allowing for regular Ruddles and Abbot being duplicated - there was quite a good choice of guest ales (mostly local, with two from the Nottingham Brewery e.g. Rock Mild at £2.25).

Not a bad boozer bu tnot as good as the Joseph Else in the square.
Reasonable prices, lots of fruit machines and there's always a few beered up old folk in ere, just what you expect from a 'Spoons.

Called in on a Saturday lunchtime after visiting the Bell. It was packed full of shoppers, buggys and untethered brats. We didn't bother having a drink. Shame it's normally better than this, but then again I've always called in at night before.
