Komakino . left this review about The Cricketers Arms
Littleworth is part of the village of Wheatley, verging on the cusp of Oxford and The Cricketers Arms, a cracking locals' pub, is located on a tight bend in a narrow road. Narrow inside itself, the bar faces the entrance with seating to the right and a raised 'dining' area to the left. This was busy with locals on a Monday evening visit, meaning something's being done right here. Two ales were local in the form of Goff's Tournament and Gun Dog Jack Spaniels (haha) with the latter in tip-top shape and a steal for these parts at £3.60 for a pint. There's a predominantly exposed stone interior with some parts rendered over but it's cosy and inviting. The barmaid and locals are a friendly bunch and a burger-heavy food menu includes one called "Devil Came Down To Littleworth" which requires a waiver to be signed prior to eating. Landlord Stuart used to write a column for the Oxford Camra rag and this is a more than decent Oxford surrounds' stop-off if you fancy exploring further afield from the Dreaming Spires.
