Charming village local. Small front bar, with small dining room to side. Low ceilings. Thankfully, a rather large and well furnished beer garden for a fine summers day, as inside would have been claustrophobic.
A free house and the beer is unusual and exceptionally well presented. There were two hand pulls from the Church Farm Brewery - a local just outside Warwick, but one I have never seen before. Presented in branded glass, I went for a Harry's Heifer and it was perfect.
Garden contains a discreet mini golf course. Guarded by a Gorilla. We've all got to be famous for something!
I was both surprised and impressed.

A locals pub that serves food, but doesn't allow the latter to dominate. The interior is dimly-lit L-shaped room and there's plenty of exposed stone and wood as is common to the establishments in these parts. The four ale selection was rather anodyne, with a line-up of Fuller's London Pride, GK Abbot Ale, GK IPA and Sharp's Doom Bar (the London Pride was OK) and sees a couple of points docked.
