Further to all the below negativity this place is now a Hollywood Bowl with an emphasis on bar and dinner on the signage, I assume due to its proximity to the cinema next door and trying to tap into the pre film clientele for food and drink.

As referenced it won't attract real ale drinkers and probably shouldn't be listed but there is a definite separation between bowling and a bar in the building especially given the multiple pool tables are within this area I suspect to detract from having unsupervised striking kids ripping the cloth off them.

On my Friday afternoon visit there were a fair few people drinking and not wearing clown shoes so further suspect it attracts normal people wanting a drink or food prior to watching a the latest films.

BobOs's review, below, raises the issue. No real ale, it's just a small bar in the corner of a bowling alley, surrounded by fruit machines, demarcated only by a low wall with a sign that says 'over 18s only', and not even a nice one, if such a thing exists. Should it even be on this site? I see no merit whatsoever in this bar.

I really don't know why this has been added to the Pubs Galore database - it's a nondescript bar with a very small range of poorly kept beer in a leisure complex populated primarily by noisy chav teenagers. I've only ever had a drink here because I was in a bowling party - certainly wouldn't give it a second thought as a watering hole. 'Orrible place!
