Formerly The Seedhouse Lodge, this former agricultural building now includes a cafe and small shop. The bar is large, airy and bright, a feeling belied by the external appearance which leads you to expect a Georgian house feel. There is a big open fireplace, tables scattered sparsely around the room and some fairly modern-looking exposed timbers. The staff were welcoming enough, but there was a village idiots' convention on attended by some cloned yoofs, all of whom had identical roll-ups stuck behind their left ears and demonstrated their sartorial incompetence by failing to don a baseball cap the right way around. There were others there, mainly normal humans and young families. There is a small car park shared with adjacent businesses and a garden with wooden benches and a grassed area for al fresco drinking. Two ales on, Otter Bright and Doombar, plus 2 ciders including one from nearby Barrow Hill. It has obviously improved significantly since BobOs's latest visit, so I might well venture in again.

It really must rank as one of the worst pubs in the country - absolutely dreadful!
